The students have been involved in a unit of work that looks at using symbols to communicate identity. They have created a linoleum mono-print. They have used an animal to symbolise the identity of another student in the class. Other symbols have been incorporated into the artwork, to show what the student finds important and values. They have looked at other artist who use animal symbolism in their art, especially Frida Kahlo, 'The Little Deer' 1946.
